In Mexico

Been in Mexico for the 4 days now. Its been quite the trip. Excuse my grammer, the keyboard is a spanish keyboard and I cant figure out all the accents and semi colons and stuff.

Started off in Baia de Huatulco. Cute little town. Not a lot of tourists as apparently the resorts are about 15 min drive away. On our second day, we took a coffee plantation tour and a tour of the Cascadia Magnifico. Lol...main purpose of the tour was the coffee plantation but in the end the waterfalls were better than the plantation tour itself. The waterfall is located high up in the mountains (took us an hour to get there on a long, windy, bumpy road), but absolutely gorgeous! Its fed by an underground spring and almost looks like it´s surrenounded by canyon on one side. Water is as clear as day and crisp!!! Absolutely refreshing after a hot half day on the bus.

Yesterday we flew from Huatulco to Oaxaca city with Aerotucan, a local airline. Tiny plane. Took us 45 mins to get to Oaxaca over the mountatin range. ´Really quite neat to see all the farms on the side of the mountain. As for Oaxaca City itself, it seems to have a ton of culture and an amazing array of architecture. Buildings are majorly colourful and so are the trees! Purple trees! Can you believe it (question mark seems to have disappeared)!

Anyway, Jeff and I took a cooking class today and a tour of the fresh market. Great experience, we learned to make chile rellenos oaxacan style, squash blossom soup, pumpkin seed mole, horchata, and a couple of salsas. YUMM!!!
